I created my first mosaic in a class at Danville, CA Arts and Recreation. That was in 2006. We broke up ceramic tile with a hammer. My teacher Connie told us about the Institute of Mosaic Arts in Berkeley started by Laurel True, but it took several years before I ventured there to take a class.
